07.10.16 – Breakfast Session “Digital media and internationalization”
The seminar “Doing business with Brazil: Opportunities you cannot miss” with a presentation by Pieter De Crem, taking place on Wednesday and organised by Belofloripa, Cobofisk and Voka in the brand new business center of Cobofisk in Aalter, was a big hit and was attended by more than 70 people.
The State Secretary of Foreign Trade, Pieter De Crem, took the opportunity to share his recent personal experiences in Brazil and emphasized the potential of the Brazilian market for Belgian entrepreneurs. He also explained his current policy and the initiatives of the Belgian government concerning export incentives. Together with the other speakers, he made sure the entrepreneurs had an additional incentive to take the leap and export their product or service to Brazil where the opportunities for Belgian entrepreneurs are countless, but often unknown.
Other speakers were Marc Vercammen, General Manager of Desso Sports Systems and Vincent Bayart, Managing Director of Fomeco, who share their Brazilian success stories. Grace Keli de Aguilar Gomes (managing director of Belofloripa), who was recently elected as West Flanders’ most promising female entrepreneur, spoke about the numerous opportunities in Brazil and the current crisis. Crisis is no reason to panic, it results in new opportunities, among others for Belgian products/services/technologies.
The message of Pieter De Crem and his co-speakers was clear: The opportunities for Belgian entrepreneurs in Brazil are there, we only need to seize them.
