Sport sector

Sport has always been a huge part of Brazilian culture, but in 2014 and 2016, it also became both an economic and tourist attraction, thanks to Brazil’s successful bids for the World Cup and the Olympic games.

Situation

This company, which operates in the sport world, and is characterised by its continuous modernisation and innovation, was contracted as a supplier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The firm originally tried to work with a local partner who turned out to be unaware of the relevant legislation. For the client in question, the consequences were severe. The company’s machines, which it needed to be able to supply its services, were stuck in the Brazilian port for three months, as the deadlines drew closer.

Belofloripa’s Approach

Because of these problems, the company decided that both they, and their partner, were in need of support. During this process, the Belofloripa consultants noticed that the contract between the client and the local partner was not drawn up in the optimal manner. Thus, following Belofloripa’s intervention, key clauses – which were crucial to the payment for, and rapid return of, the machines to their home country – were added to the contract. After this, Belofloripa continued to support the client, in order to ensure the flexible and swift export of the equipment.

Resultaat

Thanks to the expertise of Belofloripa’s consultants, whose intervention sped up the export process, it took just 15 days to export the machines.
